Maybe, maybe not. We are not contracted with insurance companies, so we are not able to bill your insurance company directly on your behalf. However! We are happy to provide you with a Universal Claim Form (UCF) or fill out your insurance company's claim for for compounded medications to help you seek reimbursement.
2. How long will it take to get my medication?
Since every prescription is filled persuant to a precription, it will usually take 24 hours to fill your order. However, the exact time required depends on your formulation.
All new prescriptions are given priority in our lab, so we will get them done as soon as possible; almost always within one buisness day of receiving your prescription.
3. Can you compound a non-prescription product for me?
California laws do not allow compounding pharmacists to produce over-the-counter (OTC) or "non-prescription" products. In most cases, we can fill an order if your prescriber is willing to write a precription for you.
4. Do you make everything on site?
Yes. All the medications that we dispense are made here.
More questions? Send us an email so we can answer them!
You may need a compound for several reasons. Most commonly, the medication strength or dosage form that your prescriber believes is best for you is not commercially available. However, there are also situations where patients are allergic to an ingredient (dye, preservative, lactose, or other filler), or the medication is discontinued or not yet commercially available.
Sometimes we just make medications easier to take by flavoring them, changing oral to topical doses, or creating specialty animal treats.
Compounded medications are rarely the first line of therapy, but often the most successful for treatment!
